If you are a new publisher, please feel free to contact us to inquire about having your books read and reviewed. Please note, due to a large number of requests, we may decline to review your book. Reviews are written by Pilar Arsenec (see About) unless otherwise noted and written by approved guest writers.

Genres Regularly Reviewed

Fiction

Nonfiction

Memoirs and Autobiographies

Timing

If you would like us to participate in a book blog tour or hit a particular post date, we will work to meet that deadline. If we receive an early release of a book, we will work to post the review within a month of the release date. If we receive an already published book, we will do our best to review it in a timely manner. Because of the large number of review requests, it may take several months to review your book.

Please note, we are not bound or obligated and reserve the right not to review any book received.

Structure

Basic information such as length, publisher and ISBN number are presented, followed by a brief objective description, our own review and ending with an author summary. An image of the book cover is shown. The overall book’s impact and message will be discussed. For audiobooks, the narrator and production are reviewed. For graphic novels, the artwork is reviewed. Links are provided for buying the book. A link is often included to the author’s site.

Exposure

Each book reviewed may receive several points of exposure on this blog and elsewhere. The book may be the focus of a spotlight and/or must-read list, including links to outside lists as well as the subject of a full review. Links to reviews are regularly tweeted on Twitter and often posted on Facebook, Goodreads and LibraryThing. Reviews and posts are also featured throughout the Internet. When a review of a book is posted on Ordinary Servant, we appreciate that the author, publicist and/or publisher post a link to us on Twitter and/or on their own site.

Extras

We may be contacted to participate in blog tours, hosting giveaways and to host guest posts from pre-approved authors.

Credit

If you would like to use any writing from this site in print or on another site, please contact us to obtain permission.
