They say change is good. I guess some changes are good, but not all changes are good, at least, not for me.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m bummed out about one of the people I work with is leaving. We have worked together for four years. Now that we finally understand each other, he\u2019s leaving.<\/p>\n
I am happy for him as it\u2019s a great opportunity, but I am sad for me.<\/p>\n
Another change is my neighbors below me are moving out at the end of the month. Not only that, my next door neighbors are moving out too. I found this all out in a matter of one week.<\/p>\n
I was devastated. I like the guy who is leaving and I like my neighbors who are moving out. Selfishly, I don\u2019t want any of them going anywhere. I just want everything to remain status quo.<\/p>\n
But this isn\u2019t life\u2026 life is full of changes, some good and some not so good. I\u2019m praying I\u2019m assigned to someone kind and fair. I also pray my new neighbors are nice and considerate.<\/p>\n
In a matter of weeks, things will be different. I am hoping it won\u2019t be for the worst. I always seem to anticipate the worst though. Thank God I\u2019m married to an optimist.<\/p>\n
You know what I thought was nice about the guy who is leaving. He apologized to me. He said he was sorry he wasn\u2019t nice or kind to me in the beginning. He said he misunderstood me. He thanked me for being patient with him (I don\u2019t know if my husband would agree that I\u2019m patient).<\/p>\n
I was touched by him saying this. He didn\u2019t have to.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s nice when people actually *get* me and where I’m coming from. I\u2019ve been misunderstood far too many times in my life (but that’s for another post).<\/p>\n
I will miss him and my neighbors greatly.<\/p>\n
