I find myself yawning as I read blog posts by popular bloggers. Yes, even bloggers with huge followings.<\/p>\n<p>I started to think about why I\u2019ve become bored with their writing and blogs.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2622\" style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ordinaryservant.com\/?attachment_id=2622\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2622\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2622\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-2622 \" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ordinaryservant.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/boring1-300x133.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"233\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2622\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Courtesy of Creative Commons<\/p><\/div>\n<p>While reading <a href=\"http:\/\/sethgodin.typepad.com\/seths_blog\/2014\/01\/the-fatal-arrogance-of-tldr.html\">this morning\u2019s post<\/a> by Seth Godin (which sparked this post), he mentions, \u201ceveryone is making noise and there is generally useless stuff being written.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>What I call \u201cuseless stuff\u201d is microwavable or recyclable writing.<\/p>\n<p>There is just so much I can read about \u201cFive ways to do this\u201d and \u201cSeven ways to do that\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Reading their blogs is like eating stale bread. \u00a0It is bland, boring and dull.<\/p>\n<p>There is no originality anymore. Forgive me if I sound like a snob, I don\u2019t mean to.<\/p>\n<p>Who knows, perhaps it\u2019s just me\u2026 maybe following popular blogs, bloggers or blogging isn\u2019t for me.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t want to read mediocre writing anymore. My time is precious and whatever I ingest, I want it to be substantive. Not some cheap substitute for the real thing.<\/p>\n<p>Have you ever wondered what happened to the art in the 1500, 1600 and 1700\u2019s?<\/p>\n<p>Such as, Mozart, Beethoven and Shakespeare?<\/p>\n<p>Where did the caliber of art go?<\/p>\n<p>There was none of the microwavable art that we see today.<\/p>\n<p>Artists respected art. Now artists prostitute and exploit art for their own gain or recognition.<\/p>\n<p>The artists of the past were givers, not takers.<\/p>\n<p>Today everyone wants in on the game. They want a piece of the pie. It&#8217;s all about them.<\/p>\n<p>There is no respect for art anymore. Just a bunch of recyclable trash that does not edify anyone.<\/p>\n<p>Artists need to recognize they have a responsibility to humanity to be good stewards of art and the gifts God blesses them with.<\/p>\n<p>Do you agree or disagree and why?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Recently, I\u2019ve become bored with blogs.
