I barely made it out of bed alive this morning.\u00a0Ok,\u00a0maybe I’m exaggerating a little\u00a0bit.\u00a0But seriously, I\u00a0am dead tired and it\u2019s all Jeff Goins fault.<\/p>\n

It’s his fault because I couldn\u2019t stop reading his new book last night.\u00a0I literally had to peel myself away\u00a0and get some sleep.<\/p>\n

Thus, I rolled out of bed, as we say in\u00a0New York City, mad tired.<\/p>\n

I\u00a0began my\u00a0daily routine\u00a0by turning on\u00a0the water to take a shower. Guess what, there was no\u00a0hot water… again.<\/p>\n

Needless to say, this isn’t\u00a0what I would\u00a0call an\u00a0ideal way\u00a0to start\u00a0your day. However,\u00a0the cold shower\u00a0definitely jolted me awake.\u00a0Seriously, you should try it some time.<\/p>\n

While taking my cold\u00a0shower, I was thinking of Wrecked<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0My thoughts brought me back to a time where a group of us from Times Square Church<\/a> went\u00a0on a short missions trip to Guatemala<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I remember when we first arrived to the mission, it was hot. We all wanted and needed to take a shower.\u00a0 But, there was one little problem, there were no\u00a0bathrooms or showers.<\/p>\n

Thankfully,\u00a0it\u00a0began to\u00a0rain.\u00a0 We knew this was our opportunity to take a shower.<\/p>\n

Now keep in mind, I’m from\u00a0New York City, ok?\u00a0I\u2019ve only camped out maybe a few times\u00a0in my life and poorly at that. I’ve never taken a shower in the middle of nowhere before, much less in the rain.<\/p>\n

But there I was in the mountains of Guatemala, in the rain, with a bunch of people I didn\u2019t know\u00a0and a major\u00a0decision to make.\u00a0Shower or no shower, is the question.\u00a0I felt gross, so I decided\u00a0on the shower.\u00a0The next dilemma was to figure out how and where?<\/p>\n

The\u00a0shower situation definitely\u00a0took me out of my comfort zone. I basically\u00a0was forced\u00a0to use my imagination and pray… a lot.<\/p>\n

Thankfully,\u00a0the Lord\u00a0had mercy on my poor soul\u00a0and answered quickly. There, hidden\u00a0in view, was my salvation… a small cascade of water falling off a tin roof. When the water hit my skin, it was as\u00a0cold as my shower this morning.<\/p>\n

The only difference\u00a0is,\u00a0I actually enjoyed it.<\/p>\n

This experience\u00a0definitely wrecked me and so is reading this book.<\/p>\n

Wrecked<\/em>\u00a0is stirring me in a major way.\u00a0Jeff Goins is a prolific and amazing writer.\u00a0His writing is like eating your favorite ice cream, you\u00a0don’t want to stop.<\/p>\n
